Azamara Club Cruises is a luxury cruise line that offers unparalleled itineraries and authentic service. It’s like a boutique hotel at sea that brings you to breathtaking destinations – and after spending a day or a night outside, you’ll have this marvellous ship to relax. The cruise ships are similar to the world’s most exclusive hotels, bringing you not only from port to port but also providing incredible on-board experiences. With the complete, modern and elegant redesign of the Azamara cruise ships Azamara Journey, Azamara Quest and Azamara Pursuit, you’ll feel even more at home while out at sea. A strong sense of community (while never feeling crowded) and the attentive, friendly staff makes a cruise with Azamara extremely comfortable.
Kay and Chloe were lucky enough to be invited on the Azamara Quest for a 7 night sailing from Sydney to Cairns to experience a small ship – only 690 people on board. We sailed from Sydney late at night and experienced a sea day when we woke. We were able to experience the daily activities like bingo, morning walks and Pilates, seminars, tastings, trivia and much much more, and relaxed by the pool or pool bar (yes, your alcohol is included, too!). There are shows at night in the lounge, or you can experience one of the speciality restaurants which are slightly more upmarket than the buffet, however, there is a small surcharge. You will never go hungry on a cruise, there are so many options to eat. The buffet is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with the patio on the pool deck, if you are hungry in the afternoon.
We were able to experience a day in Airlie Beach, Townsville and Cairns. They offer many different shore excursions in each spot, a popular one being the Great Barrier Reef and one of the many islands. The cruise ships have now left Australia and are on their way to Europe and Alaska for the Northern summer season, we can’t wait to get back on and experience the world!
